Zella was found in the city of Gostivar inside a police station. Based on employees there she was a regular visitor that sometimes was rewarded with different scraps of food. She had been dumped there as a baby and only had one eye while the other eye was missing and the eye socket was empty.
It was a cold day and snow had fallen days before, dear Zella came to us the moment she saw us and climbed her way into the arms of the lady that runs the shelter. The decision was taken instantly and Zella was taken to the shelter, there she showed how friendly she was with every other animal and how grateful she was for the meals and cuddles she got. She regularly climbed in our arms and purrs for hours. She was a delight and soon also had surgery so that she could be spayed and have her eye socket cleaned and sewn shut.
After the surgery she recovered well and in a nice and sunny day the shelter received a surprise volunteer that immediately fell in love with Zella. She adopted her and Zella is now warm, fed, happy and most importantly loved.
